      Hey Top Raman,

Your Rice Curry style is weak. Everything you have is built from templates. You will probably charge much less than I will, but..

      1) I do custom and template, if the customer prefers, and
      2) You get what you pay for

You know, it's you third-world types that are putting hard-working American designers with REAL talent out of business. Fortunately for you, I'm sure most of your clients don't know the difference between a good and a bad designer, a "template monster" and an actual designer with real experience.

doesn't really matter if they're using templates, now does it? As you just said, most of their clients can't tell the difference... chances are they (most importantly) DON'T CARE. We are going to get driven out of business or so low-balled it won't be worth it.
In our defense, I want to say that the perks people get from working with american designers are:
        we speak English
there's a chance in hell you'll meet us face to face someday. Can't say the same for Abdul
if you ask for personalized design you'll get it
come to think of it, if you ask for any sort of customer support out of the ordinary you'll get it
I feel bad that this topic is stirring up anger in me that could be misconstrued as racism because I have nothing against Indian people in any way (in fact, a small subversive part of me is a little amused). However, now I'm starting to understand how steamed the blue collar industry should be over this outsourcing stuff. $150-300 for a full-fledged website?!? Damn it!!

Wow, I can believe I just read some of the comments here. "You know, it's you third-world types that are putting hard-working American designers with REAL talent out of business."

Let me remind you where you are. This is tribe. Ok, it's not a guarantee that people are creative, fun-loving, intelligent, open minded, and caring.

You might not like a person's design and think it's weak and based on templates. Fine. But what is this crap about "speaking English" and "third-world types", etc. It's so offensive. I think you'd be better off in another industry like working for the Bush administration and their foreign policy.

I personally feel like you could be the most talented designer in the world but when you spout shit like that, you lose any credibility you might have. I feel you actually show you are a lower life form that has less to offer this world than the average person.

It's too bad your talent can't speak louder than your racism and xenophobia!

Go X!ne! I was just about to rant about the sickening display of blatant racism when I saw your post. Thank you for speaking up. We need more people like you in the world.

Raman, I'd like to personally apologize that my country is run by a dim-witted war-mongering nazi, and his followers think it's okay to blame their financial troubles on the color of your skin and the country you live in. Try to let it roll off, and know that not everyone is that ignorant.

Notice no one said anything about the *American* woman offering websites for $25 [freelance.tribe.net/thread/b...ae3331e].

To the xenophobes: he mentioned NOTHING about price.

hi I specialise in flash work either doing the whole sites or elements within sites
so basically I can design interfaces and organise material interactively
and present that material as creative multimedia and I can host sites too
with the people who host my sites and clients sites etc...

I used to work for spill.net web design agency in paris
and to keep it simple that is my commercial reference...

I did cybercouture.com for an artist friend a few years ago
and I did a demo for a guy in london last year - sign69.com/demo.html

my personal homepage is sign69.com that has sometimes been projected as vj stuff at major gigs...

I have been rebuilding a house in the country
with the idea of focussing on being my own artist
but now I am desperate for freelance work again
so to anybody out there who isn't a crazy psycho
I am available for work and collaberations... :)
